Particulate Sampler E-FRM Reference

Met One Instruments’ E-FRM is a single channel particulate sampler approved as a US-EPA reference method for PM2.5, PM10, PM10-2.5. Configured with an alternate PM2.5 cyclone, the E-FRM may also be operated as a US-EPA designated equivalent method for PM2.5. For ease of shipping, the E-FRM is nested in a compact package. When installed, the package expands to normal sampling height, with sampler on top, separate pump box below within the work frame. The E-FRM sampler is designed for easy setup and deployment. This allows it to be used for either permanent long-term sampling at a fixed site, or as an audit sampler with frequent relocation.

Industrial Weather Station

Met One Instruments’ Industrial Weather Stations are configured to provide plant operators with the weather data needed for operations, regulatory compliance, safety and emergency response. The systems use reliable and accurate sensors to measure the weather variables of interest. Depending on output/input requirements, the data logger outputs either an analog voltage or digital RS-232 / RS-485 in ASCII or MODBUS format, or 4 -20 mA current loop for connection to the plant’s DCS, PLC’s or SCADA system. The data logger will also store the data and, if required, perform computational preprocessing such as averages, standard deviations, maximum/minimum, as well as providing certain control and alarm functions including E-mail and text alerts.

Met One’s Air Quality Weather Stations are specifically configured to comply with U.S. Environmental Agency (EPA) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines for air quality and regulatory meteorological monitoring. Weather Sensor AIO 2 Sonic

The AIO 2 Sonic Weather Sensor is a complete, high performance weather sensor using Met One Instruments’ proven 2D sonic technology. This technology provides reference grade accuracy without moving parts and includes a built-in compass used for automatic magnetic north alignment of the wind sensor. The temperature and humidity elements are integrated into an IP65 sealed module with a quick disconnect for ease of calibration in the field. Bench-Top Particle Counter BT-620

The BT-620 is a compact, battery-operated particle counter with six selectable size channels, an integrated printer, and housed in a portable stainless-steel case. The device’s flow rate is 1.0 CFM (28.3 LPM) and is maintained with volumetric flow control for improved accuracy. This benchtop particle counter has a large, easy-to-read display, audible alarms, and an internal printer that work together to verify particulate levels. If the particle count exceeds the user’s pre-set limit, the audible alarm will sound, and the screen display, sample history, and printout will indicate an alarm event. Two programmable count alarm limits may be set.

Ideal for use in cleanrooms, the BT-620 was designed to easily integrate with existing building automation systems, facility software, processors, or may be used as a standalone unit.

CONVENIENT FOR CLEANROOM COMPLIANCE

The BT-620 particle counter is convenient for compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, designed with a password feature to prevent unauthorized changes to the user settings. The unit is also compliant with ISO 14644-1, and ISO 21501-4 with an upgraded calibration.

USER-FRIENDLY

The BT-620 offers intuitive navigation with an ultra user-friendly interface. Each of the six channels may be individually set by the operator from 0.3 to 10 microns without requiring custom calibration. In addition to user-selectable sizes, the instrument features user-adjustable sample time, user-identifiable location IDs, and stores over 8,000 sample events.

Sample history events may be viewed or printed and downloaded to a computer using Met One’s ParticleView or Comet software, or simple ASCII terminal commands. Real-time monitoring is available with an optional software upgrade to ParticleView RT. The unit easily integrates into MODBUS multi-drop networks and facility software. Connectivity is built-in for both digital (Ethernet, USB, RS-232, RS-485) and analog output (0-5 VDC). The BT-620 also includes a memory stick port.

The Printer offers two modes of operation: Print Sample prints sample data at the end of each sample including alarm, date, time and location; Recall Data prints all sample data from first selected date and time to second selected date and time.

A plug-and-play option can immediately add ambient temperature and relative humidity capabilities to displayed and logged data.

BC 1054 Black Carbon Analyzer

The Met One Instruments BC 1054 Multi-spectrum Black Carbon Analyzer continuously measures the transmittance of light across filter media onto which particulate matter is accumulating and in real-time calculates the black-carbon “BC” concentrations at 10 different wavelengths ranging from the near-UV to the near-IR. By employing the same widely accepted calibration constants and principles of operation as those used in the Magee Aethalometer, the BC-1054 produces nearly identical results, but at a fraction of the cost.

E-SEQ-FRM Sequential Reference Particulate Sampler

Our E-SEQ-FRM Reference Method meets the regulatory requirements for PM2.5, PM10 and PM10-2.5 sampling methods. The E-SEQ-FRM accommodates up to sixteen (16) 47-mm diameter filter samples and may be pre-programmed to a flexible, user-defined sampling schedule, permitting more than 2 weeks of unattended daily operation.

The E-SEQ-FRM is modular by design, being easily disassembled and transported from one site to another. It is compact with a small footprint which allows it to be moved in and out of locations with challenging ingress/egress. No disassembled component: system box, stand, or inlet assembly weighs more than 45 lb.

The E-SEQ-FRM features an easy, intuitive event manager that permits programming of up to 16 independent sampling events. Optional modem/communication packages allow for remote access of stored data via RS-232 interface. Data is also quickly and easily retrieved with a USB flash drive.

The new and improved Met One Instruments, Inc. E-FRM-DC sampler is a single-event filter sampler to determine daily PM2.5 or PM10 particulate concentrations in ambient air. The E-FRM-DC has an innovative design and unique features that provide a versatile, reliable, and simple platform for your ambient air sampling needs. This versatile instrument is used for fixed or portable ambient particulate sampling applications. The E-FRMDC sampler is designed for easy setup and deployment, which allows it to be used for either permanent long-term sampling at a fixed site or as an audit sampler for frequent relocation.

 

The E-FRM-DC can be configured for PM10 as well as TSP, PM1, and PM2.5 as optional accessories. BC 1060 Portable Black Carbon Monitor

Our BC-1060 portable black carbon monitor measures and reports black carbon concentrations, with user-selectable time resolution down to one minute, at both UV (370 nm) and IR (880 nm) illumination wavelengths. The combination of portability and dual-wavelength illumination permits rapid, easy deployment on a broad scale for source apportionment (fossil fuel vs biomass combustion) determination, roadside monitoring and emergency responder applications. The BC-1060 can continuously sample for up to 6 months with a single roll of glass-fiber tape.

C-12 Portable Carbon Monitor

 

Carbon monitoring on a granular scale has never been more affordable, opening up an array of opportunities that were previously economically out of reach for many applications.

 

Introducing the GROUNDBREAKING Met One Instruments, Inc. C-12 Portable Carbon Monitor. This revolutionary device measures and reports the concentration of black carbon “BC” continuously with a 1-minute time resolution.

 

Using the principle of optical attenuation of 880 nm near-infrared light through filter media upon which particulate matter containing BC deposits in real-time, the C-12 has the capability of making more than 1,000 filter advances, meaning that this sensor can operate unattended for more than two months.

 

The C-12 is an industrial-grade device, providing the user with an array of diagnostic information in real-time that will allow them to monitor its performance continuously. Although it is inexpensive compared to other commercially available carbon monitors, one can expect its operating life to be more than ten years.

 

The C-12 Portable Carbon Monitor is self-contained, eliminating the need for an expensive, space- and power-consuming environmental shelter. Instead, the device sets up in a matter of minutes virtually anywhere. Because of its modest sampling rate (1 LPM), the C-12 can easily be operated off modestly-sized solar panels in most regions. It comes standard with an AC power adapter.

 

The standard configuration of the C-12 enables the user to measure and report the BC (880 nm illumination) concentration with sensitivity better than 70 ng/m3 at 1-minute time intervals.

 

Equipped with an integrated CCS+ COMET Cloud modem, the data is available in real-time on a customized webpage dashboard. The C-12 Portable Carbon Monitor samples total suspended particulate matter “TSP” and, if desired, the user may opt to mount the C-12 onto an optional tripod for rapid, flexible deployment. Pole-mount is optional.

 

The groundbreaking new C-12 has a low initial acquisition cost and low ongoing operational costs.

 

With a standard sampling rate of 1 LPM, the unit may be flow-checked and flow-calibrated using most commercially available flow calibrators such as those used to support governmental air quality surveillance systems. An optional flow calibration system may also be purchased to support operation. The C-12 employs the same span calibration value (MACS) used by the Met One Instruments, Inc. Model BC-1054, Model BC-1060, and other commercially available tape-based carbon measurement devices (Aethalometer).

CCS COMET Cloud+ Service

Met One Instruments’ COMET Cloud Plus+ (CCS) is a cellular modem and cloud data service package which is directly compatible with a variety of air quality and meteorological sensors. The CCS modem is available for 4G LTE Domestic and GSM/ GPRS International connectivity. Averaged data is uploaded to a secure cloud site every 15 minutes domestically and 1 hour internationally, with modem location automatically available from the internal GPS. The first three years of data service is included with the CCS modem and a secure link to a custom web dashboard is provided with each COMET Cloud Plus+.
